Escape Games L’Apéro: Unleash Your Bottle!
Sales to Consumers – Version effective as of June 1, 2026
ARTICLE 1 – PURPOSE AND SCOPE
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter “GTC”) exclusively govern sales concluded between Escape Game United, a simplified joint-stock company (SAS) with a share capital of [amount], headquartered at 497 rue du Roc Noir, 73480 Val Cenis Lanslebourg, registered with the Chambéry Trade and Companies Register under number 898 779 434 (hereinafter “the Seller”), and any natural person of legal age acting as a consumer (hereinafter “the Customer”) wishing to purchase the game Escape Games L’Apéro: Libère ta Bouteille! (hereinafter “the Game”) via the Seller’s website.
Any order placed on the website constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. The Seller reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time; the applicable Terms and Conditions are those in effect on the date of the order.
ARTICLE 2 – PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Game is an escape game with an appetizer theme, consisting of the following elements:
- A game board with puzzles
- A 3-digit bottle padlock
- A bottle of wine or another beverage, depending on the option selected when placing the order
The game is available in two versions:
- Set only (board + padlock), without bottle
- Game with a bottle of wine or a beverage selected from the options available on the website
The game contains small parts (including the bottle-shaped padlock). It is not recommended for children under 3 years of age due to the risk of choking.
If the Customer purchases an option that includes a bottle of wine or an alcoholic beverage, the Customer represents that he or she is of legal age and is legally entitled to consume alcoholic beverages in accordance with French law.
ARTICLE 3 – PRICE
Prices are listed in euros, including all taxes, excluding shipping costs. Shipping costs are displayed at the time of ordering and billed separately.
The Seller reserves the right to change its prices at any time. The applicable prices are those displayed on the website at the time the Customer confirms the order.
ARTICLE 4 – ORDER AND FORMATION OF THE CONTRACT
The order is placed directly on the Seller’s website. The contract is formed upon receipt of the order confirmation sent to the Customer by email after payment has been received.
The Customer agrees to provide accurate and complete information when placing an order. The Seller reserves the right to cancel any order in the event of incorrect information or suspected fraud.
ARTICLE 5 – PAYMENT
Payment is due immediately upon placing the order. It is made online using the payment methods accepted on the website (credit card, etc.).
Ownership of the Game is transferred only upon full payment of the price by the Customer.
ARTICLE 6 – DELIVERY
The Seller agrees to ship the Game within an estimated 5 business days of order confirmation, subject to availability.
Delivery is made to the address provided by the Customer at the time of ordering. The Seller shall not be held liable for any delay in delivery if it is due to force majeure or the carrier.
If a package is damaged or missing upon delivery, the Customer must file a claim with the carrier within the legally prescribed time limit and notify the Seller at the following address: contact@escapegames-lapero.com.
ARTICLE 7 – RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
In accordance with Articles L.221-18 et seq. of the Consumer Code, the Customer has 14 calendar days from receipt of the Game to exercise their right of withdrawal, without having to provide a reason or pay a penalty.
To exercise this right, the Customer must notify the Seller of their decision to cancel the order by email at contact@escapegames-lapero.com, providing their name, address, and the relevant order number.
The Customer must return the Game in its original packaging, in perfect condition, within 14 days of notifying us of their decision to cancel. The Customer is responsible for the return shipping costs.
The Seller will issue a full refund of the purchase price (excluding the original shipping costs) within 14 days of receiving the returned Game, using the same payment method used when the order was placed.
Exception: The right of withdrawal does not apply to bottles of wine or beverages that have been unsealed or opened, in accordance with Article L.221-28 of the Consumer Code.
ARTICLE 8 – STATUTORY WARRANTIES
The Game is covered by the statutory warranty of conformity provided for in Articles L.217-4 et seq. of the Consumer Code, as well as the warranty against hidden defects provided for in Articles 1641 et seq. of the Civil Code.
If a defect is discovered within two years of delivery, the Customer may request that the Game be repaired or replaced, or, if neither of these options is possible, a full or partial refund.

ARTICLE 9 – LIABILITY
The Seller shall not be liable for any consequential damages resulting from the use of the Game. In any event, the Seller’s liability is limited to the amount of the order.
The Game is intended for recreational use by adults. The Seller assumes no liability for any use that does not comply with the instructions, particularly in the presence of children under 3 years of age.
ARTICLE 10 – INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All components of the Game (game board, puzzles, visuals, and the “Escape Games L’Apéro” brand) are the exclusive property of the Seller and are protected by intellectual property law.
Any reproduction, copying, or use, even in part, is strictly prohibited without the prior written consent of the Seller.
ARTICLE 11 – PERSONAL DATA
The personal data collected during the ordering process (name, address, email address) is used exclusively for processing and tracking the order, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The Customer has the right to access, correct, and delete their data by contacting the Seller at: contact@escapegames-lapero.com.
ARTICLE 12 – MEDIATION AND DISPUTES
In the event of a dispute, the Customer should first contact the Seller’s customer service department by email at contact@escapegames-lapero.com to seek an amicable resolution.
If an amicable resolution cannot be reached, the Customer may seek consumer mediation free of charge. The Seller has designated the CM2C (Consumer Mediation Center of Judicial Conciliators) as the competent mediator, which can be reached at: www.cm2c.net.
This contract is governed by French law. If mediation fails, the dispute will be brought before the competent courts in the Customer’s place of residence, in accordance with the rules applicable to consumer disputes.
This document has been prepared in accordance with the provisions of the Consumer Code (Articles L.111-1 et seq., L.221-1 et seq.) and the Civil Code.
